I love the NFL. You will hardly hear me complain about anything regarding what the NFL does. My views on the rules and such are basically always in line with the NFL brass, and when they aren’t…hey, that’s why they work for the NFL and I write a blog. Where you will hear me complain [...]

It has been WAY too long since I last posted on here. Lot’s of stuff going on, and playoff hockey is taking over my life. In that respect, let me just say that while football is probably my favorite sport, I challenge you to find a sport that has the playoff atmosphere like hockey does. [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Former Boilermaker and Bear vs. Former Domer and Brown   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

The Brady Quinn experiment is over in Cleveland. On a day where most of th sports world was focused on NCAA basketball the NFL had a few things on the dockett. One of them was the Cleveland Browns trading Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos for a full back and a late 6th rounder. Kyle [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Bears in on Sean Jones   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

This former University of Georgia player is currently on the market and the Bears are taking a run at him. The 6′1 safety would be best suited as the SS for the Bears, as Jones is not very good at picking up passing plays. The guy is a bone crusher and does a fantastic job [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Lito Shepard for the Bears? Keep Him.   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

I know, I know. All I’ve talked about lately is how the Bears need some help in the secondary. Lito Shepard is on the market and the Bears are thinking about making a play on him. My thought…don’t. I’m sure he’s a good guy, and he does still belong somewhere in the NFL, but getting [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Bears Missing Out   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

I know the Bears have had a huge free agency for far, but let’s look at it a little closer. The Bears have a huge need in the defensive secondary and so far they have done nothing to fill that need. Leigh Bodden and Ryan Clark have no both resigned with their respective teams leaving [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Sorgi Goes From One Manning to the Other   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

Jim Sorgi was just signed by the New York Giants to back up Eli Manning. Think he might get more of an opportunity to play with the Giants than he did with the Colts? That guy has it made. Nice cushy NFL salary, hardly has to worry about screwing anything up for his team. Personally, [...]

That’s probably accurate, but they still have pro days and the senior bowl as well.

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Active Day for Steelers   5 months, 3 weeks ago · View

Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a host of moves in the free agent world signing 2 safety’s and 2 wide receivers. Ryan Clark was possibly the most important, as the Steelers resigned him for $14M over 4 years. The Steelers had earlier in the day signed free agent safety Will Allen to just under $5M [...]

What do you think it’s for then? It’s a forum to test out skills you need to possess to play in the NFL. If it doesn’t determine how well a player will play, why do guys help or hurt their draft status/contract with things like best 40 time, most reps on the bench etc.?

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Who’s Left in Secondary for Bears?   5 months, 4 weeks ago · View

The Bears went all out on the first day of free agency signing the biggest name out there, Julius Peppers, and 2 other fantastic offensive additions. Now comes the time for the Bears to look at upgrading at possibly their weakest position, the secondary. ESPN has a ranking of available free agents here. The best secondary [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Tebow to Test Out the Arm   5 months, 4 weeks ago · View

ThumbnailTim Tebow had what most would call a great combine. I would tend to agree, except the guy did not throw at the scouting event. Is it just me, or does it seem like the combine is becoming more and more watered down with athletes only choosing to showcase their best talents. If I was an [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Eagles Pick up Vick’s Option   5 months, 4 weeks ago · View

ThumbnailThe Philadelphia Eagles have exercised the $1.5M bonus on Michael Vick, effectively insuring that he will be in an Eagles uniform come the start of this season. Vick’s salary for this year will be an astounding $5.25M and that roster bonus is believed to be part of that salary. I’m sorry, but for a guy who [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Bears Ink Taylor   6 months ago · View

The Bears have signed another free agent. This time in the form of Chester Taylor.

The best thing about this signing is that the Bears took him away from division rival Minnesota. But aside from my personal feelings on that, the Bears have gotten a fantastic compliment to Matt Forte. More on this to come.

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: The New World Order in the NFL Begins…   6 months ago · View

With the free agent period in full swing, let’s take a look at some of the early signings. The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with former Charger TE, Brandon Manumaleuna on a 5 year deal. Manumaleuna has played under current Bears OC Mike Martz before, and should fit in well with Martz’s “tight ends [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Bears going after Rolle and Peppers Hard   6 months ago · View

Interesting report from ESPN.com about the Bears making a BIG push to get Antrel Rolle now along with Peppers. Even Lovie Smith was quoted as saying the Bears need help in the secondary, and Rolle certainly will provide more talent than most of the current guys combined. Signing Peppers would be like the Bears having [...]

  • Kenny wrote a new blog post: Orton Cashing In?   6 months ago · View

Thumbnail Friday marks the beginning to the 2010 NFL year, at least as far as the league is concerned anyway, and with that comes the start of free agency. There are reportedly somewhere in the ballpark of 220-275 guys who will be eligible for free agency, but the problem for these players is that most of [...]
