Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Charlie Villanueva, Detroit Pistons
30 minutes, 28 points, 11-17 FG, 5-6 FT, 1 three-pointer, 5 rebound, 1 turnover
Villanueva has been picking up steam the last few games, and it was nice to see him finally put up big numbers. He did little else but score though so it wasn’t a monster game.
Matt Barnes, Orlando Magic
35 minutes, 18 points, 4-12 FG, 9-12 FT, 1 three-pointer, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 4 turnovers
This was his best scoring effort of the young season, but he’s been solid averaging 13.5 ppg and and 9.0 rpg the past four games.
Trenton Hassell, New Jersey Nets
46 minutes, 17 points, 8-13 FG, 1-3 FT, 12 rebounds
Here’s a name I hadn’t thought of in a long time. If Kevin McHale was in charge of the Nets’ operations, he’d likely give Hassell and extension based upon this performance, but even with all of the Nets injuries, I can’t trust Hassell until he shows he can do this again.
Arron Affalo, Denver Nuggets
29 minutes, 18 points, 7-12 FG, 3-5 FT, 1 three-pointer, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1...
