Bush, Deuce, Thomas, and Ellis ????

August 15, 2008

Reggie Bush is nursing a sore knee, and will not play this weekend against the Texans. The injury is not serious, and Coach Payton will hold him out only as a precaution.

Deuce McAllister will make his first appearance on the field, after having surgery for a second time in 3 years. This is a good sign, that Deuce will be playing, only means his knee is OK, and early reports were just normal work load issues that kept him limited in practice.

Hollis "The Tank" Thomas, tore a triceps muscle in practice, he had surgery, and is expected to be out at least two months. The Saints will look at the possibility of placing the 12 year veteran on the IR list.

First round pick Sedrick Ellis is also nursing a sore ankle, and may not play this weekend.

Jeremy Shockey is also expected to be held out, and should see his first action as a Saint next week against the Bengals.
