Bullpen Ugliness

Wow. Just wow. Living in Arizona prevents me from watching any Twins games, but I followed most of it on MLB Gameday. It looked ugly. I can only imagine how those of you watching the game felt. Yuck.

-Matt Guerrier wins the award for "ugliest" today. Seriously, who was expecting Matt Guerrier to stink it up as bad as he did? He went 1.1 innings and gave up two runs on three hits. The rest of the bullpen, except Jesse Crain, was solid, as usual. Reyes relieved Crain after he gave up a run and got an out. After the Guerrier debacle Breslow and Bass came in and didn't allow a hit.

-Joe Mauer wins game ball in my book. He did record the last out, but had a stellar game. He went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. His average is back up to .323. He did strand three runners during the game, though. Mauer had a double, and provided one of his RBI with two outs.

-Gomez went 2-5 with a double and a stolen base tonight. He appears ready to step...
